- Accordionist, composer, arranger, performer and conductor based in New York City. He started out playing for tips for passengers on the Long Island Ferry. By the late 1920s he performed accordion solos on network radio. He became the first accordionist to play with the Metropolitan Opera and the New York Philharmonic and the first to play at Carnegie Hall. He composed and performed for major movie and television scores. He was also the proprietor for a chain of music stores.
