Comments: Gospel group founded in the early 1920s in Winston-Salem, North Carolina by James Garfield Wilson who served as its musical director. By the 1940s the group had become quite well-known and could be heard nationally over the NBC and CBS radio networks and the Armed Forces Network. Members include Deacon Tom Foger, Sister Bernice Dobson, Otto Jeffries as well as Garfield Wilson. Both Wilson and Jeffries also performed as members of the Royal Sons Quintet.
