- Author and poet. As a poet he was inspired by the coastal landscapes of Öresund (the Sound) and its island Ven in Skåne, the southernmost Swedish county. His poem "Vid vakten" (At the watch), best known as "Flicka från Backafall" (Maiden from Backafall) with music by Gunnar Turesson, is one of the most persistent all-time evergreens in Scandinavia.
