Soccer player and one of the most renowned Swedish players ever. He spent most of his career in Italy in the Serie A league playing for clubs like Inter, Sampdoria and Palermo. He won a bronze and a silver medal with or the Swedish national team at the 1950 and 1958 FIFA World Cup. With Inter Milan he won the Serie A in both 1952–53 and 1953–54. He also won the Swedish Cup in 1950.
During his whole life, Skoglund suffered from severe alcoholism.
