Comments: The Vagabonds were a vocal trio from the Midwest founded by Dean Upson in 1927. In 1928 Curt Poulson joined the group and in 1930 Herald Goodman joined. They were all trained musicians who could read and arrange music. They were the first professional musicians to perform on the Grand Ole Opry. They also created the first country music publishing and recording company in Nashville.
