- Pianist and arranger. He made his first recordings as a member of Percy Chandler's band in 1931. The spring of 1932 found him on the arranging staff for Henry Hall's new BBC Dance Orchestra The following years he was providing arrangements for Bert Ambrose as well. In April 1934 he joined Ambrose & His Orchestra full time as pianist and arranger, a position he held until the end of 1937. During this period he also attended recording sessions for Jay Wilbur at "Rex" records. After World War II he moved to Australia.
