Headlining vaudeville and musical comedy performer whose career spanned 50 years. Just before the turn of the 20th century she began to be in demand on Broadway singing "coon songs" usually in black face, From 1902 through 1922 she performed in a team with a singer-dancer named Billee Taylor. She was one of the female blackface singers still active in the 1920s and enjoyed a Broadway hit in 1927 singing "Hallelujah" in a featured blackface rol in the 1927 stage production of Hit the Deck
