The one by Mothersbaugh is interesting to say the least, but given what he's done with Devo I can't say I'm too surprised.
I always support closing these generics when possible, but should it be marked as processed if the "official" cover submission hasn't been added/rejected or perhaps even all of the noted covers for these legacy posts?
