16 Golden Film & TV Themes by The London Studio Orchestra, conducted by Nicky North

Error description

Three thoughts on this release:

1. It would be good to mention the original British release in the comments, 16 Golden Film & TV Themes, so that users can track back to the original album more easily.

2. The cover art looks a little odd. Should the black bars either side really be part of the cover art?

3. Wouldn't it make more sense to make the performer of this and 16 Golden Film & TV Themes an alias of "Nicky North" rather than as a joint performer?

1. will do

2. done

3. i don't think so. The Studio London Orchestra seems to be more commonly associated by discogs with Ed Starink than Nicky North (who has his own orchestra). That said, it is very difficult to know as we have (i) The London Studio Orchestra and (ii) The Studio London Orchestra which uses an alias of The London Studio Orchestra, and it seems to me that discogs gets the two muddled up. I'd prefer to keep it as a joint performance.

Yes I agree that Discogs gets the two orchestras muddled. In this case, is it attributed to the correct one?

Well, it is consistent with the discogs entries. But then the Nicky North releases move from one to the other so who actually knows. Discogs doesn't.

What do you suggest?

Personally I'd just make it an alias of Nicky North as they are the key performer in this case. But up to you.
