History
Jennings was a "temporary" bass player with The Crickets, including when Holly was killed. Jennings famously did not take the airplane that crashed with Holly aboard (he reputedly "gave up his seat" to The Big Bopper). This iteration of "The Crickets" was different from Holly's original band.
