Error description

Hi,

I enjoy looking at your website quite a lot. Since I am now 74 years old occasionally I find that some things I remember are missing.

As a child growing up just outside Atlanta, all of the kids my age knew the Song Shortnin' Bread. Obviously I don't remember The Andrews Sisters version from 1938 which appears to have been assigned the Peak Position of 16 by Joel Whitburn in the Pop Memories Book.

I don't own that book but it is available at two local libraries, both of which are completely closed right now. The reason I use the word assigned is that there seems to be no definitive Billboard or other Charts from 1938 but it seems like he made some fairly accurate guesses in my view based on everything that he and his researchers could locate.

The version that I and many other fans of first generation Rock & Roll know is by Paul Chaplain from 1960. It peaked at 82 on the Billboard Hot 100 but is probably most noteworthy with record collectors because it was Number 1 at WLS in Chicago, one of the Premier Top 40 stations of that era.

Hopefully you will find some of this interesting or helpful.

Phil thanks for the extra info. We already have the Paul Chaplain version Shortnin' Bread. Is there anything else that you would like us to change?
