- The label of a release should be set as self-released when:
- There is no label name given on the release
- The label name is the same as the name of the performer and no other artist released on this label.
- The label name is different than the name of the performer and no logo, address, or website for the label can be identified.
- In the above second and third scenario, although the label is not created, the label name field can still be filled in.
- Example: Kan du förlåta mig by Mats Källström. It's selfreleased, but still features "Metodisc" as label.
