NOTE: This is not a cover, but an adaptation of the song Daddy's Home with different lyrics. The Maytals recorded the song three times in their career: in 1964, 1972 and in 2010. The new lyrics are by Fredrick Hibbert, even if the 1964 single point out the three Maytals. The name of the 1964 recording was always 'Daddy'. The second recording was title 'Daddy' on the 1972 singles but titled 'Daddy's Home' when included on some of the Japanese version of the 1973 LP 'Funky Kingston'. The repress of the album 'Funky Kingston' made after 1990 have the title 'Daddy's Home'.

COMMENT

It seems the automatic function of SecondHandsSongs doesn't allow us to create a second entry when an artist recorded a song more than once in their career. The first two recordings are important.

I changed the language to 'Not Set' as it seems the only way I can ad a second entry for the Maytals

This song should be under 'ADAPTATIONS'.

Although the new lyrics are by Frederick Hibbert, some of The Maytals albums/compilations give credits to:

• James Sheppard (Dragon, 1973) (Island, 1976) (Trojan, 1981) (Trojan, 1991) (Simply Vinyl, 2000) (Trojan, 2003) (Music On Vinyl, 2019)

• James Sheppard, Clarence Bassett, Charles Baskerville (Island, 1990) (Island JAPAN, 1994) (Disky, 2000) (Island JAPAN, 2014)

• James Sheppard, William Miller (Single Netherlands, 1973)

There are tow Wikipedia page that mention's Maytals cover of the song. I think it's inappropriate to call this a 'cover'. The best category it could fit on SHS is 'Adaptations', but it would be closer to say inspired by...
