Discogs lists this as a compilation. Canadian Brass has played "Tuba Bee" for many years (their sheet music for the song is copyrighted 1979, with the arrangement credited to Howard Cable), so there may be an earlier release but I've not found one.

In the 1980s, James Galway (the flautist) jokingly claimed he could play "Flight of the Bumblebee" faster than Charles Daellenbach, CB's tuba player, could. Daellenbach (b.1945) accepted the challenge. As a result, CB sometimes has played the song (more or less) straight, as in the submitted performance, and sometimes played incredibly fast, with comedic "business" during the performance. (There are lots of youtube clips of live performances.)
