I'm a bit confused by this... Back in 2008, CC Entertainment released an album containing lullaby versions of Alan Jackson tunes. I've found two different versions of the album art - one with a title Sleepytime Tunes - Lullaby Renditions of Alan Jackson and one with a title Alan Jackson Lullaby Tribute. However, I'm not sure which one came first.

The interesting thing is there are two videos of the version of "Remember When" on YouTube, both uploaded by the record label. The older one has the artwork for the "Sleepytime Tunes" version while the newer one has artwork for the "Lullaby Tribute" version.

Does anyone know which version came first?

A few links perhaps?

What kind of links do you need? Amazon has both versions listed (a CD version with the "Sleepytime Tunes" artwork credited to "Sleepytime Worship" and a digital version with the "Lullaby Tribute" artwork credited to Lullaby Players), both with the same release date.

AllMusic shows the "Sleepytime Tunes" artwork and has it listed that way.

Michael

I would follow the original CD release. The digital release will have come out much later, despite showing the same release date as the CD. That’s because Amazon and iTunes are not reliable for digital release dates pre 2012. They will often list the CD release date instead of the digital release date.

I have a number of these releases in my notes all credited to Lullaby Players. I considered "Sleepytime Tunes" as part of the release title on some of these.

Not sure if any have already been submitted prior to OM's work on this series....

There were some on site already but I've added quite a few over the past week or so, including some digital-only releases.

The more I look at these releases, the more I wonder who exactly is buying this stuff. Clearly someone is or Copycats wouldn't be able to afford to keep churning them out, but at the same time some of these are absolutely ridiculous (do we really need lullaby-style covers of Jimmy Buffett songs or of Green Day's super depressing "When September Ends"?)

Updated the album title and artwork, but the thumbnail image isn't being generated for some reason. Filed a ticket (#2967) related to that issue.
