According to Wikipedia, Circle of Life was not first released by Elton John as it was the tenth track of the 1994 soundtrack The Lion King, the first track of The Lion King 1994 soundtrack was Circle of Life by Carmen Twillie and Lebo M. which actually marked the the very first release of the song on 31 May 1994.[[
