Looking for a cover version of Long and Winding Road recorded between 1979 - 1984 similar to Dick Smith’s one but more mellow. The song is jazzy and sung by an Afro American.

I believe The Long and Winding Road (Billy Ocean, 1984) received some airplay back in the day....

Thank you Sebcat. Did listen to the Dick Smith version. The backing vocals are similar to the version am looking for but the lead voice is not. It seems that the version am looking for was recorded earlier than the Dick Smith one and Dick Smith imitated the backing vocals.
