Mütterlein

English Wikipedia says that Leila Negra did the first recording as "Mütterlein" sometimes stated as "Mütterlein, könnt' es noch mal so wie früher sein" (If German is not your language, the spelling is correct.)

Leila Negra recorded her version of Mütterlein on April 15, 1952 in Vienna.

But the version by Rudi Schuricke titled Mutterlied was recorded on February 13, 1952, so that's the first recording.

Recording date added to Mutterlied and set as first recorded version.

Cool, even if my information was not quite correct, it helped to find the original recording.
