The Kneeling Drunkards Plea RCA studio recording Feb. 1949
This is the first song that the Carter Sisters and Mother Maybelle wrote that was on their first 78 rpm record released in February of 1949. This Girls sang this song as early as 1943 on WRNL radio and was a fan favorite of their fans both on the radio and when they performed their "Personals" all over the country. When they were hired by the Grand Ole Opry in 1950 they performed this song and the audience loved it.

The last WSM studio photo before the end of the video of all 4 is a 1950 WSM star photo shoot that was saved from the Grand Ole Opry hospitality center collecting dust, repaired.
When this photo was taken the Carter Sisters and Mother Maybelle were a household name in homes coast to coast and were loved especially by people that loved "hillbilly or country music"
They were drawing huge crowds filling every venue they played, Theaters, Drive inns, School auditoriums, even Hardware stores and Music Parks, They had sponsors knocking down their door like Martha White Flour who gave them a deal that they couldn't refuse when they came to WSM and the Grand Ole Opry in 1950
