Here is a bright new arrangement of a classic composition by legendary pianist/composer Cedar Walton, an Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers alumni.
The lyrics are penned by the sibling team of Paula Hackett & John Hackett.
In the spirit of innovation, there is an inventive musical approach to accompany this not often heard vocal rendition. Kevin's vocal is, as usual, deceptive in its ability to clearly communicate high-level ideals while making it sound easy. At the core of the matter are exceedingly bright lights of humanity, expertise, intelligence, feeling and inclusive culture.
This performance was recorded in San Pedro, California. Other selections from this concert also feature virtuoso Cuban/American vocalist Candi Sosa.
