- Folk singer from the projects in Cabrini Green Chicago. He started out as a doo-wop singer with a neighborhood group called The Medallionaires in the late 1950s and then two other doo-wop groups. After a lack of success, he switched to folk music (as it was the rage at the time) and recorded two solo folk albums.
