- Country singer, song writer and guitarist originally from Guin, Alabama. Later she was based in Lincoln, Nebraska where she formed her band, The Taylor Sisters. (They were not actually sisters.) Helen Taylor and The Taylor Sisters headlined at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas for four years and toured Europe twice. Helen worked with major country stars including Johnny Cash, Ernest Tubb, Roy Clark and Porter Wagoner. She was only 41 when she died in 1976.
