Comments: Country radio personality, song writer, mandolin player and singer born in Norway in 1908. He emigrated to the United States in 1926. In 1932 he joined singer and guitarist Jake Watts to form "Jake & Carl, the Original Nighthearders." This duet performed and recorded until they broke up in the early 1940s. Subsequently, he wrote songs and performed and recorded with his spouse, Berget as "Jane & Carl, The Sunshine Pals." He was a disc jockey on WRUN (Utica-Rome, New York) and ran a record store in Utica. He and his spouse were also known as Mr. & Mrs. Sunshine.
