Comments: Gospel group led by the well-known recording duo of Lester McFarland and Robert A. Gardner. Vernon Dalhart was also a member on some of the recordings. The other two members were William Wirges (organ) and Wilfred Glenn.

The group only recorded for Brunswick and their Brunswick releases were credited as by Old Southern Sacred Singers. Some of their recordings were first released by Brunswick's sub-label, Vocalion and credited as by Smoky Mountain Sacred Singers. Recordings were reissued on Supertone credited as by Old Southern Sacred Singers.
