- Bandleader, pianist, conductor, composer and arranger in the field of popular music. In the early 1930s he founded in the Berliner Kabarett club „Schall und Rauch“ the "Hans Bund Jazz Orchestra", which he directed as a pianist and for which he wrote the arrangements. Immediately after the end of World War II he founded a 35-strong orchestra, which had its first concert in June 1946 and from 1947 developed into the WDR Rundfunkorchester Köln.
