- One of the most important figures in Brazilian pop music history. He was a producer, singer, musician, lyricist, who worked at Odeon in the late Fifties. He founded the labels Elenco in 1964 and Evento in 1975. But before all that, he lived in the United States from 1940 to 1956 as backup singer and close collaborator with Brazilian star Carmen Miranda.
