- Sir Timothy Bartel Smit, KBE, is a Dutch-born British businessman, famous for his work on the "Lost Gardens of Heligan" and "The Eden Project", both in Cornwall in the UK. Born in Scheveningen he moved to the UK, when he was five. He studied archeology and antropology at the univeristy of Durham, but landed by coincidence in the music industry as a composer, lyricist and producer, where he worked for 10 years. In 2005 a Live Aid concert was organised at The Eden Project starring Peter Gabriel.
