It was also issued on his APRIL 1972 Johnny Cash album "A Thing Called Love" (so please link it to that as well). The tricky thing is the album is just credited as Johnny Cash but we have the same predicament for the other singles on the album too as they have performer variations too. Here's a Discogs link w/ all of the artwork (I added a picture of Side 2 to Discogs so you can add it now) if you want to add the rest of the album artwork to the album.

Now I'm copying over my Comments from the Original Submission by Rex Allen "You Put Me Here".

This was a pretty important find on my part (to me at least). Johnny Cash had a fairly well known song in 1972 called "Kate" (written by Marty Robbins) from his "A Thing Called Love" album. I had always assumed he had recorded this first. Then I came across a song called "Sure as Your Name's Kate" (written by Marty Robbins) on a Rex Allen 1980 album called Long Gone Cold that was a reissue of a Hacienda WWLP101 album from 1961 called Rex Allen Sings Country Music. Then after further research I found it wasn't on the original album but rather issued on a 1961 single with a different name - You Put Me Here (written by Marty Robbins) - which led to this submission. I didn't find anywhere on the internet linking the two so this is a pretty important find. I just added a note about it on the Wiki page for "Kate".

The main chorus of the song is You Put Me Here (Sure As Your Name's Kate) which is word for word the same as Johnny Cash's version. Amazon has the Rex Allen reissue song on it's music site so it's available but not on YouTube.

Here's the Johnny Cash "Kate" song. They are identical

I just signed up for Spotify because I know we can now use that if no YouTube video. Here's the Spotify link (hopefully):
