- R&B/soul subsidiary of Motown Records. Notable artists included The Velvelettes, The Spinners, The Monitors, The Elgins and Chris Clark. VIP went on to put out nearly sixty singles before the label’s final release, the perhaps appropriately-titled "Feel Like Givin’ Up" by Posse, in February 1972. The label was dissolved in 1974.
