Finland's most important music company involved with almost every aspect of the music business in Finland since 1910. The company was founded in 1897 by Konrad Georg Fazer and served until November 30, 1994, when it was sold to Warner Music Finland.
Konrad Georg Fazer bought a music store together with Robert Emil Westerlund in 1897 on Aleksanterinkatu in the centre of Helsinki. The company began to publish works by Jean Sibelius and Fredrik Pacius. In 1919 the company changed its name to Fazerin musiikkikauppa (Fazer's music store). The company's first great star was J. Alfred Tanner.
