Song search dates

How come the date does not always show when you do a song search.

E.g. Strawberry Fields : http://www.secondhandsongs.com/cgi/song-search.php?title=strawberry+fields&artis…

You get a list of all the covers. With Beatlejazz, Laurence Juber and The Beatles there is no date.

When you click on one of the songs you get the hierarchy and then the dates are shown.

In this example the three artist where the date is not shown in the song search are the only three with an exact date instead of just the year.

First I thought that was the reason, but a song search for Hey Joe, Robert Plant has no date and in the hierarchy there is only the year.

This is a structural problem which will be fixed when our big revision is over.

It seems that the date is missing on all songs added or modified or revised after August 2005.

Yes anto, this is because right now the song dates are used. In our new system we mostly use the medium release dates, who aren't visible yet. So if a song has no date itself (recording, performance etc), nothing will be shown.
