Piggybacking off my topic about "Why", the same album features two other songs that are English adaptations of foreign-language tunes. Unfortunately this album seems to be all but forgotten so there aren't any YouTube videos of these to reference.
"World of Love" - English adaptation of a song by Eric Charden and Jean Leccia
"Grandfather Song" - English adaptation of a song by Danish songwriter Ove Bager
