It was the summer of 1956 and our family was in Charleston WV for the speed boat races on the Kanawha River. The local radio station was setup across the river and playing music over loud speakers. That's the memory. That's the first time I heard this song. It just plumb blew me out of my socks. Our pictures, home movies, and TV shows were all black and white back then. So, I present my cover of his first number one hit accordingly...
