THAT Coca Cola commercial... Starting in 1963 and going on until the 1980s, numerous well-known artists were featured in campaigns with respective versions. However, some artists, like Roy Orbison and Jan & Dean, also rerecorded own songs incorporating the slogan and partly changing the lyrics.
In quite some countries versions were made available to the public on vinyl 7"es or flexi discs. There are also various compilations comprising many versions. All are copyrighted by Coca Cola.
Artists having contributed versions (quite some did two or more) include:, Jerry Lee Lewis, Four Seasons, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell, Little Milton, The Shirelles, Neil Diamond, The Box Tops, The 5th Dimension, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Who, Tom Jones, The New Seekers, The Easybeats, Little River Band, Bee Gees, Moody Blues, The Troggs and Vanilla Fudge. - Licensing
