- The original lyrics by Pipo Lernoud from social criticism, were modified by Litto Nebbia leader of Los Gatos with the permission of the authors, to make it more massive and avoid problems with censorship (Argentina was then under a military dictatorship) . The original writing is about a "protest song", in which the author contrasts what he was taught at school ("that this country is great and has freedom") with what he lives on a daily basis
