Folk vocal and instrumental group active in the first half of the 1960s. Formed after the initial success of 'The New Christy Minstrels', this group included several experienced West Coast folk performers and several others who became better known later in their careers. Although Les Baxter generally did not travel with them he did arrangements for them and was involved in directing their staging. Early in 1963 the group included nine members. At performances later that year there were generally only four or five members. Personnel included Terrea Lea, West Coast folk music pioneer and co-owner of The Garrett Coffee House (a folk music venue), David Crosby, Peggy Taylor, Phil Campos, Jerry Vester, Bob Ingram, Chip Crosby, Mike Clough and Paul Hansen.
