The 1978 disco song Rasputin by Boney M. uses part of the melody of "Kâtibim", and mimics the line "Oh! those Turks" (as "Oh! those Russians") at the end of the song.

I added this as a comment. I don't think Rasputin is completely based on the Turkish song. The melody is substantially different.

Cool! If anything the melody Boney M uses is probably from the Eartha Kitt version (that I'm in the processing of adding). The "Oh! those Turks" quote is from there:
