- Song originally from "Lollipop", a musical comedy in three acts with book by Zelda Sears, lyrics by Sears and Walter De Leon and music by Vincent Youmans. The show played at the Knickerbocker Theatre and opened January 21, 1924. "Take A Little One Step" was thus first performed in "Lollipop". The song is also on the list of songs of No, No, Nanette , but not introduced until the West End production, which opened on March 11, 1925 at the Palace Theatre in London.
