- Saariston Sirkka translates into "Archipelago Sirkka". The Swedish subtitle is "Lilla mö på Emsalö" (Little mother at Emsalö), Emsalö (or Emäsalo in Finnish) being an island and a village in Southern Finland. The population is approximately 400, but during summer many people from all over the world come to spend their holidays at their summer cottages on the island. The majority of the population are Swedish-speaking Finns.
