- Television presenter, former disc-jockey and lyricist. His career started in 1963 as a DJ on "Radio Veronica", an offshore radio broadcasting from a ship aimed at The Netherlands. In the early 1970s he became the presenter of "Op Losse Groeven", a television programme aimed at promoting Dutch language popular music. The TROS television show ran until 1990.
