Record producer, pianist, organist, music publisher and songwriter. He led the nationally successful Norman Petty Trio which included Vi Petty, his wife. Petty built a recording studio in Clovis, New Mexico where he produced and recorded Roy Orbison, Waylon Jennings, Buddy Holly and many others.
