Vocalist and songwriter from the San Francisco Bay area, who began as a piano bar player, worked as a cabaret artist, had her own jazz trio/quartet and eventually ran a successful nine-piece swing band. After the swing craze of the 1990s died down Cynthia gradually downsized her little big band until she was singing with just guitar and bass.
