The Deep River Boys were a vocal group formed in the 1930s at Hampton Institute in Virginia. During the 1940s and 1950s they appeared frequently and radio, television and records. Members included Harry Douglas, Jimmy Lundy, Ed Ware, and Vernon Gardner. In Europe they were especially popular in countries like Sweden and Norway from the 1950s and upwards, appearing on numerous TV shows, even releasing several hit-singles performing songs in Swedish and Norwegian.
